Situated in the Grounds of Castell Lleiniog near to Beaumaris on the Menai Straits our cottages afford peace, tranquility, wonderful views good access to all the treasures of North Wales or an exciting day trip to Dublin. They are just one minute from the beach where there have been many battles in the past and where the Earl of Shrewsbury met his death with an arrow in his eye.
The Castell Lleiniog itself is haunted by a Roundhead belonging to the Cheadle family and boasts a pirate tunnel from the house to the beach.The cottages are equipped to the highest standard with microwaves digital televisions with DVD. Not that we think you will need them on a holiday there are so many things to see and do and so many good restaurants and eating places.
The Bothy is an extremely comfortable two bedroomed single storey cottage, converted from an old shippon retaining its original pine beams. It is light and airy with a wood burning stove. Adjacent to it is a small garden area ideal for BBQs or just chilling out with a good book.
The Granary is a cosy two bedroomed apartment with the original wooden floors and pine beams giving a unique and warm atmosphere. It's open plan living area provides stunning views across the Menai Straits towards Snowdonia.
Lleiniog Cottage has two bedrooms and a futon downstairs, a new kitchen with dishwasher/washing machine and bath/shower room. It sleeps upto 8 people.
We also welcome tents/campers in our grounds.
